Our Powerful Three-Part Children’s Program


I -La Cadena (Link) Partner Program

This group of more than 35 registered child-welfare non-governmental organizations or NGOs operating throughout western Guatemala that provide education and nurture the most at-risk children include orphanages, those sponsoring after school programs, and others that provide privately funded public school education for the poorest children in their communities.They will select at-risk children to attend and provide the vital link after their camp experience.


II – University/Volunteer Senior Counselor Program

The majority of the children’s Senior Counselors will come from the prestigious liberal-arts university, Universidad del Valle in Guatemala City and from their extension campus in Solola nearby Lake Atitlan. International students may apply as well to volunteer as Senior Counselors.


III – Journey to the Forest Children’s Camp Program

Our unique, comprehensive, powerful week-at-camp program that we will provide for up to 108 children every week – those who come to us from our La Cadena Partners spread out through 17 Guatemalan Departments (states) from Mexico to El Salvador and Honduras.
